Collection: Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi

Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi, known as Sadequain Naqqash, was a world-renowned Pakistani artist celebrated for his extraordinary skills in both calligraphy and painting. Recipient of prestigious honors, including the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Pride of Performance, and Sitara-e-Imtiaz, he is regarded as one of the finest artists in Pakistan's history.

Sadequain’s monumental murals represent an unparalleled body of artistic genius, with a number and surface area that surpass those of renowned artists like Michelangelo and Diego Rivera combined. His monumental contributions alone would have secured his legacy as one of the greatest artists in the region.

In addition to his visual artistry, Sadequain was recognized as a literary figure, with the Urdu-language book Tanqeed-e-Rubai referring to him as the greatest modern poet of the genre. It is estimated that he created over 15,000 works of art, including murals, paintings, drawings, and calligraphies. His literary legacy includes thousands of quatrains published across four volumes: Rubaiyyat-e-Sadequain Naqqash, Rubaiyyat-e-Sadequain Khattat, Bayaz-e-Sadequaini, and Juz-way-Bosida.
