Collection: Syed A. Irfan

Syed A. Irfan is a name synonymous with Miniature Art in Pakistan, known for his small-scale yet impactful works. Born on May 26, 1985, in Karachi, Irfan's passion for miniature painting ignited during a family visit to the Lahore Museum in 1997, where he was captivated by the intricate details of the artworks. Self-taught, he honed his skills through miniature art books and online resources.

At just 17, Irfan presented his work to Ms. Saira, the owner of Zenaini Art Gallery, who was astounded by his talent and included him in a group exhibition in 2003—his first public showcase among esteemed miniaturists. Since then, he has organized numerous group and solo exhibitions across the globe, including in Pakistan, the USA, Dubai, Turkey, Canada, London, Saudi Arabia, and India. To date, he has held three solo exhibitions and participated in over 50 group exhibitions.

Irfan’s artistic identity is closely tied to Mughal Traditional Miniature, though he also explores Orientalism and contemporary styles. His remarkable talent has been recognized with several accolades, including the Best Performance Award from PTV in 2007, a Special Prize at the Sadequain Award Exhibition in 2006, and first prize at the All Degree College Art Exhibition in 2001.
