Collection: Salman Ahmed

Salman Ahmed is a versatile artist born in 1974 in Mirpurkhas, Sindh. He draws inspiration from his mentor, the late Lal Muhammad Pathan, who dedicated his life to depicting the struggles and poverty of the people in Tharparkar. Salman completed his primary and secondary education in Mirpurkhas, where his passion for art led him to the Tharparker District Cultural Association (now the Arts Council of Mirpurkhas), where Lal Muhammad Pathan taught art classes. He earned his Inspectorate of Drawing/Art & Craft Education Diploma from the Hyderabad Elementary Government College with first division honors. In 2013, he successfully completed the Art Teaching Certificate (ATC) Exam.

Since then, Salman has participated in numerous exhibitions, including ArtFest at Sheraton Hotel, Karachi; Sindh Canvas at Sabuha Art Gallery, Arts Council, Karachi; Mehran Colors at Mehran Arts Council, Hyderabad; Shaheed Mahatma Benazir Bhutto Art Exhibition at Tharparker Art Gallery, Mirpurkhas; the first Conference on Art and Art Exhibition in Jamshoro; as well as shows at Sadequain Art Gallery, Frere Hall, Karachi, Fun Paray Art Gallery, Grandeur Art Gallery, Majmoa Art Gallery, and Art Regent Gallery.
