Collection: Faiz Supro

Faiz Supro was born in Ratodero, Sindh, and graduated from the Centre of Excellence in Art & Design Jamshoro in 2011. After his graduation, he continued his work and exhibited in various art galleries nationally and internationally. Currently, he teaches at the Facts School of Art in Karachi.

Supro’s work explores lines drawn by pen, depicting various perspectives of ordinary people's lives and their moods. His compositions are an intriguing blend of different shades of black interspersed with small areas of color patterns inspired by Sindhi culture. This serves as a mode of conversation for him, narrating cultural life while subtly addressing its issues.

His recent work portrays the marketplace, typically established during traditional fairs in the province of Sindh. These markets are vibrant, featuring decorated stalls selling beautiful products. People love to watch and buy these items, as the product displays provide a rich aesthetic experience, reminiscent of Eid celebrations and cultural carnivals. Supro has aimed to represent this happiness through the language of lines.
